How are the bristles sourced?
Our natural bristles are ethically sourced as a by-product of existing agricultural and grooming industries. No animals are raised or harvested specifically for our toothbrushes.
By using natural materials instead of synthetic plastic bristles, we're helping reduce unnecessary plastic waste in everyday products.
How long does each toothbrush last?
With normal use, we recommend replacing your toothbrush every 2–3 months, just as dentists recommend for any toothbrush.
What's the difference between Horse Hair and Boar Hair bristles?
Horse Hair (Soft)
Ideal for those who prefer a gentler brushing experience and softer bristles.
Boar Hair (Firm)
Ideal for those who prefer a firmer brush and a more robust clean.
Both options are plastic-free.
Are the toothbrushes really plastic-free?
Yes. Our toothbrushes are made using natural bristles and a bamboo handle, with no nylon, plastic, or bioplastic bristles.
They're designed for those looking to reduce plastic in their everyday routine.
Why choose natural bristles?
Most bamboo toothbrushes still use plastic-based bristles. Natural bristles offer a genuinely plastic-free alternative while delivering a comfortable and effective brushing experience.

THE SHOCKING TRUTH...
Most Toothbrushes Still Put Plastic in Your Mouth
Most toothbrushes are made with nylon bristles.
Nylon is plastic.
Even many “eco” bamboo toothbrushes still use the same synthetic bristles.
One study found toothbrushes contained 30–120 microplastic particles per brush.
So yes — the handle might be bamboo.
But the part touching your teeth every day is still plastic.
Ours isn’t.
Microplastics Are Already Being Found in the Human Body
Microplastics have been found in human blood, lungs, placenta, and other tissues.
One study found microplastics in nearly 80% of blood samples tested.
Another found them in all 62 placenta samples tested.
The long-term effects are still unknown.
But do you really want to keep adding more?
Start with the product you use in your mouth every day.
Bamboo Toothbrushes Are Not Always Plastic-Free
Bamboo handle.
Plastic bristles.
That’s most “eco” toothbrushes.
They reduce plastic waste in the handle…
But they don’t remove the plastic from your mouth.
The Organic Standard Toothbrush is different.
Natural bristles. Bamboo handle. Zero plastic bristles.
You’ve Been Brushing With Plastic for Years
Twice a day.
365 days a year.
For how many years now?
Most people never think about their toothbrush bristles.
But almost every regular toothbrush uses synthetic plastic fibres.
That’s hundreds of plastic-bristle brushing sessions every year.
It’s not your fault.
Nobody told you.
Finally, A Toothbrush Without Plastic Bristles
Meet The Organic Standard Toothbrush.
Natural horse or boar hair bristles.
Bamboo handle.
No nylon.
No bioplastic.
No synthetic bristles.
Toothbrushes were made with natural bristles long before plastic existed.
We just brought the better version back.
Reviews
Super interesting design
The bristles feel very different from what im used to, softer.
Brushes came individually packaged in small cardboard boxes
Real hair and bamboo. works really well and a great price.
Though i haven’t used the boar bristle, only the horse, i’m totally expecting these to be just as good.
They seem to be good, definitely made of wood. the bristles are harder to know for sure if they are natural or not, but they are much harder and more coarse than my old nylon toothbrush and the bristles break more easily so i think it’s more likely that they are real natural bristles and not plastic
I like them. nice to use. thank you.
